The Bear Who Stared is an enjoyable tale from Duncan Beedle. It's a picture book with a heart, and the ability to make you smile.
Bear emerges from his cave every morning and stares at well ... everyone. He's just a naturally curious kind of bear, but, he really can't understand why his staring causes such a fuss. The ladybirds scampered away, and the badger got very angry.
A chance encounter with an empathetic green frog (with wonderful staring eyes), and a big green pond shows bear that adding a smile to his stare can make all the difference.
The Bear Who Stared is a very endearing tale, beautiful to read out loud. The wonderfully thick pages are adorned with Beedle's gorgeous illustrations - you can't help but fall in love with that bear!
