The Guardian Children's Fiction Prize 2015 announced their four short listed authors this week.  The prize has the unique angle of being judged by contemporaries. Judges for 2015 are Piers Torday (2014 winner), Jenny Valentine (2007 winner) and Natasha Farrant (2014 shortlist), chaired by Julia Eccleshare.
The Guardian Children's Fiction Prize 2015 - Short list Announced
The shortlist is out for the 2016 Scottish Children's Book Awards, Scotland's largest book award - managed by the Scottish Book Trust in partnership with Creative Scotland. It really is an event. One that involves LOTS of readers - teachers, librarians and book group leaders sign up their groups in the appropriate age group and then the children and young people read, review, discuss and vote for their favourite books.
