His curiosity leads him to a world full of vibrant colour and brilliant satisfaction. He stumbles and staggers but never let's it dampen his spirits and perseveres until he brings back life into the city around him and makes houses homes and bring happiness back into peoples lives. This book also has a deeper meaning of trying to give importance to forgotten things and finding pleasure in what nature has to offer. You don't have to go too far away to find bliss, it might just be in your backyard. With bold colourful illustrations and simple flowing text this book is a great read for both young and old.

He left behind a wonderful legacy of images for us to enjoy for generations to come...because Sendak's work is timeless. I loved 'Where the Wild Things Are' as a child - I love it even more as an adult. Today I can appreciate even more the perfect balance of his text: not one word too many, not one word left out. As for the illustrations, they too are spot on - and I love the way Sendak uses the page as a crucial element of his design. Budding illustrators and authors: pay attention to this man. And the rest of you: just enjoy the book as it is meant to be enjoyed!

The Lost Thing does just this around the discomfort ones feels when one is lost and the effort others make to help the lost thing be found once again. A story that will resonate with anyone who has felt lost whether physically or emotionally (perhaps lost in bureaucracy which seems to feature in the book) and known the value of someone who has taken the time to help one find themselves again.

Love Shaun's work - it is so out of the ordinary and really resonates in the week the world has lost M. Sendak - thanks for the out of the ordinary ones!

Go away, Mr Worrythoughts! was just the right length to hold her attention and not so deep that she would be over-analyzing the words! The great feature of this, and all the Dr Suess apps, is the ability to tap and hear individual words - great for the early reader. The words size has also been enhanced so that they feature strongly along side the delightful and original artwork of Dr Suess. Of course the environmental message never gets old (unfortunately). If the kids still want their bells and whistles there are numerous other good game type apps out which promote the new film. Great app that compliments appropriate new age technology to a timeless classic!

My kids thoroughly enjoy this book (I do too) and I think it would make agreat stocking stuffer.

It continues to bring joy to my children now. As the caterpillar goes on his journey it is beautiful and brightly illustrated too. This is one of those classics that will never lose its charm

The interaction and hidden surprises gave us lots of squeals and laughter, especially the farting monsters ;) It takes the Nick Bland reading experience to another level. Over all I'd give it 4 stars, only because to date, The Very Cranky Bear still takes the cake ;) A huge benchmark which will need lots to beat, but nevertheless this is a GREAT app too and a must have, especially at the HOT price of only $2 ;)
