Luca is the 8 (yes 8!) years young, senior editor of an innovative magazine for kids - BIG Kids Magazine. His position emphasises the BIG philosophy of children and artists working alongside each other and their delightfully fresh approach to magazines for children. Encouraging creativity, imagination and an engagement with the written word, this creative arts magazine is having a real impact.

Tell us about you in 25 words or less.
I love inventing and making up stories but I don’t like writing! I like turtles, vegetables and video games. I have a little brother and sister. I’d like to be a person who looks for rocks, a doctor and a person who explores the ocean.
What makes you happy?
People, food, plants and the world.
Where have you always wanted to visit, but haven’t made it to … yet? (and why)
A country where it snows.
Where is your favourite place to read? Describe it to us.
My bed – a double decker bed. I like reading in the night when Sacha is asleep with my book lamp light.
If you could change one thing in the world, what would it be?
More plants, no pollution and more food for kids who don’t have much.
What’s the best thing about being a being a senior editor for BIG?
I get to choose what goes in the magazine and get to decide one of the next issues
What’s the strangest question you’ve ever been asked (and what was your answer)?
Once my brother asked me “why do you have to go to school?” and I said “I have no idea, why can’t you just learn at home?”
Who or what inspires you?
My friend Max because we make up games together.
What is your worst habit?
Sometimes sneaking treats and I’m not telling what else.
Your favourite word(s) and why?
Treats because treats taste really good and if you don’t have too many of them they’re not that unhealthy ;)
